NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Chestnut Ridge on the 22nd day of February, 2018, at 8:00 p.m., at the at the Village Hall, 277 Old Nyack Turnpike, Chestnut Ridge, New York 10977, to consider adopting the following local laws: 

A Local Law to amend Local Law #2 of 2007, “Alternative Veterans Real Estate Tax Exemption”, to modify the maximum Alternative Veterans Real Estate Tax Exemption as authorized by State Law. 

A Local Law to grant a Real Property Tax exemption for Cold War Veterans. 

A full copy of the text of proposed local laws may be reviewed at the office of the Clerk of the Village of Chestnut Ridge, 277 Old Nyack Turnpike, Chestnut Ridge, New York 10977. 

All persons interested shall have an opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing at the time and place aforesaid.  Persons may appear in person or by agent. 

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE  that the Village Board of the Village of Chestnut Ridge intends to establish said Village Board of Trustees as Lead Agency for the purpose of review of the proposed action under the provisions of Article 8 of the Environmental Conservation Law.  The address of the Chestnut Ridge Village Board is 277 Old Nyack Turnpike, Chestnut Ridge, New York 10977.  The proposed local law is a “Type II” action under the Environmental Conservation Law.
